Reclaimed   wood   top

This top was designed to be installed in the basement around two metal posts.  I glued up the reclaimed lumber pieces into two parts which were then fitted and glued together around the posts.  The character of the wood was brought out with the stain and finish!  Isn't that edge amazing!

​ISLAND   COUNTERTOP   &   SHELVES

A client requested a new kitchen island maple butcher block countertop for kitchen.  The final size is three feet wide by eight feet wide and 1.75 inches thick.  The finish is food grade mineral oil.  The countertop overhangs the island countertop by 12 inches on the ends and 15 inches on one long side.  Plenty of room for seating!

 The reclaimed lumber shelves are smooth on top while keeping the underneath and front edge rougher. Both shelves are finished with oil and polyurethane.  Wrought iron brackets support the shelves.
