This was a lot of fun to make! I ordered a real bourbon barrel from the Jim Beam distillery, Kentucky. The sweet smell was amazing!
The final table top has a clear epoxy top with view of the stenciled barrel top. The large door has wrought iron hardware and opens to reveal two shelves (with lazy susans) and loads of storage. |
This 6" x 6" cedar mailbox post is assembled with traditional woodworking joinery and will stand the test of time. Cedar was chosen to match the cedar trim of the house.

This post is made up of hardwood boards formed into a box and simply screwed into a 4 x 4 inch post so that should the post be damaged it can be replaced. The mailbox support is hand made and very solid. A solar powered light sits on the top providing hours of illumination after sundown. On the back, a plant hanger has been mounted to easily support whatever flowers we choose.
